Opposition (Lux #5)- 26/09/14 ****
Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came.
She can't believe Daemon welcomed his race or stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred, and love has become an emotion that could destroy her—could destroy them all.
Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal.
They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.
War has come to Earth. And no matter the outcome, the future will never be the same for those left standing.
Awesome conclusion to a fantastic series. Although for the last 100 approx pages I couldn't get over her leaving the books behind. Even if the world was ending and people were dying, it would still not stop me from reading. When I plan for an apocalypse I plan at least 3 boxes of just some of my favourites so I won't get bored. Don't worry, this one will be among them.
It was a good way to conclude them, wrapping things up properly, but still leaving a little bit to the imagination. Yeah, I would still love another one, but if a series has to end, this is how it should. I don't think it was as good as the other ones, maybe because after 4 books it gets harder to be original, but it doesn't lack. It just doesn't feel completely there. But it has the same good features, interesting, multi-layered, witty characters, hot romance, good base structure, good writing, and a good book overall. 4 well deserved stars. It would be 5, but it just felt a little bit repetitive, not that it bothered me while reading it, just something I noticed after finishing it.
